Employment Team

The Employment team advises on employment, industrial relations, discrimination and safety matters as well as manages large underpayment and other employment compliance reviews and regulatory matters.

They also, assist clients with enterprise bargaining and managing industrial disputes, advise on restructuring and the employment aspects of corporate transactions, advise on safety compliance and response to safety incidents and conduct or advise on workplace investigations.

Position Description

Get to work closely with the firm’s clients to manage employment and safety risks, protect corporate reputation and promote the clients as employers of choice. Working with Partners and the wider team, you will gain exposure to interesting and complex advice and litigation.

You’ll get exposure to a number of different Partners within the team and a wide variety of work. As a lawyer, you will be able to find your niche and specialise in areas you are interested in, while building a strong foundation across your field.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the appropriate level of post-qualification experience (3 – 5 years’ PQE) in a City, major regional or leading international firm) and have broad exposure across a range of high value and/or complex Employment matters. More specifically:

· Experience working in an employment and safety team, ideally at a large law firm, international law firm, or a combination or private practice and in-house legal work.

· The ability to lead and manage matters and other lawyers

· An interest in business development and growing a practice

· A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
