Construction Disputes Team
The team provides comprehensive whole-of-life advice on energy and infrastructure projects, with a focus on back-end construction related matters. The wider team is known for working with clients throughout the full lifecycle of their projects, from origination to construction and development, to operation and end of life.
From procurement design, probity and tendering, through to delivery advisory services and dispute resolution the firm has the necessary technical expertise, experience and industry knowledge to assist across all stages of the construction cycle and across all procurement methodologies.
Position Description
As part of the role, you will have the opportunity to advise on major construction, engineering, energy and resource projects across Australia and international markets.
The role will also see you advising clients on issues arising from live projects as well as formal dispute resolution including arbitration, court, mediation and adjudication.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the appropriate level of post-qualification experience (2-5 years’ PQE in a City, major regional or leading international firm) and have broad exposure across a range of high value and/or complex construction disputes. More specifically:
· Expertise in construction law and dispute resolution.
· An ability to work independently and effectively manage smaller matters and elements of larger matters.
· A strong team ethic.
· A willingness to develop others through mentoring and sharing experiences and networks.
