Henley Reid are working with an international firm in Perth, who are looking for a new corporate lawyer to join their growing practice.

A need exists for a highly motivated Lawyer/Associate looking to join a team dealing with high value public and private M&A and capital markets transactions.

Team

Sitting with the Perth team, this is an opportunity for someone to work with seniors, Partners in WA and interstate Partners on complex, cross-border M&A transactions, working with a range of ASX-listed, international, and private companies on their corporate activities.

Position Description

The successful lawyer will gain access to corporate matters advising some of the world’s largest construction, energy, renewables, mining, infrastructure, and logistics businesses operating in Australia and across APAC.

You will be getting involved with PE transaction cycles, including fund formations, portfolio bolt-ons, and exits, advising on all aspects of public and private M&A deals, drafting a range of transaction and commercial agreements, and will work closely with clients, acting as a key point of contact.

The new lawyer will also be across Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rule matters, will conduct due diligence, and provide research on legislation and case law, as part of the wider corporate team.

This is a varied role and will provide the successful applicant with significant opportunities for growth and career progression.

Key Requirements

· At least 2 years’ post admission experience within a law firm, ideally in Perth;

· Demonstrated transactional experience, ideally with some public M&A exposure;

· Experience with a busy, high performing team;

· Strong academic background.
