Henley Reid are assisting a highly regarded national law firm, who are looking to hire a new Associate to join their leading corporate and commercial practice in Sydney.

Our Client Our client has a very well established commercial practice made up of 2 Partners who work closely with a range of technology, FMCG, pharma, renewable energy, and retail brands across Australia.

The Opportunity

Given our client’s growth in Sydney, this is a great career opportunity for a private practice lawyer with at least 2 years’ PAE to join their practice and focus solely on commercial law matters. You will work closely with the Partners, focusing on the following areas:

· Services agreements

· Commercial contracts – supply, distribution, procurement, and e-commerce

· Licensing agreements, ranging from support contracts to enterprise licenses

· Privacy advice

· Sponsorship and marketing agreements

· Intellectual Property

You will be representing a client base made up of blue-chip clients and household names, and will be working closely with the seniors and Partners in a relatively flat structure.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Corporate & Commercial Group, you will be working with leading Partners on a range of complex commercial advisory work, and will be involved with drafting, negotiating, and advising a broad range of contracts and agreements for clients.

You will work closely with clients from a range of private sector backgrounds, on multi-million-dollar projects, marketing, sponsorship, and other contractual agreements. You will gain significant exposure to clients and will be involved with relationship building and business development activities.

Skills & Experience

This role will require the following skills and experience:

· A strong background in commercial law, either from another law firm or in-house team

· An interest in developing client relationships, acting as a business partner for clients

· At least 2 years’ post admission experience.
